Description
Similar to escutcheons in where they sit on the door but they have an added job to do. Generally installed on WC/bathroom doors, the turn throws and withdraws the deadbolt from the inside allowing the door to be locked and unlocked. The release allows the door to be unlocked with a coin (or similar flat object) from the outside in an emergency situation. The release can be supplied with or without a red/white indicator.
